Two Friends, A Miracle, Five Countries, and More Dreams -- Rotterdam, Den Haag

DEN HAAG

It was the christmas day, the day we left Amsterdam for Den Haag. When we arrived at Den Haag, it was a bit cloudy and quiet, since it was christmas. Almost all of the shops were closed, I just saw Burger King and Mc Donalds that were open. I was kinda scared, cause the city was like a dead city, like it was haunted or something (I guess I just watched too much movies LOL). However, there were still tourists, so it was alright then.

Den Haag Central Station...

Binnenhof Palace

"The Binnenhof (Dutch, literally "inner court"), is a complex of buildings in The Hague. It has been the location of meetings of the Staten-Generaal, the Dutch parliament, since 1446, and has been the centre of Dutch politics for many centuries." (Wikipedia)

ROTTERDAM

In Rotterdam, we stayed in a hostel that was located right in the Cube Houses. Quoting from Wikipedia, "Kubuswoningen, or cube houses, are a set of innovative houses built in Rotterdam and Helmond in The Netherlands, designed by architect Piet Blom and based on the concept of "living as an urban roof": high density housing with sufficient space on the ground level. Blom tilted the cube of a conventional house 45 degrees, and rested it upon a hexagon-shaped pylon. His design represents a village within a city, where each house represents a tree, and all the houses together, a forest."

Erasmusbrug (Erasmus Bridge)

Quoting from Wikipedia, 'The Erasmusbrug ("Erasmus Bridge") is a cable stayed bridge across the Nieuwe Maas (English: New Meuse) river, linking the northern and southern halves of the city of Rotterdam, The Netherlands.'
It was a freezing night in Rotterdam, the temperature was not too bad, but the wind was really terrible. It could almost fly me. :P
Erasmusbrug was beautiful though! :)
