marches de noel á paris!
One thing that I was excited about for going to Paris at this period of the year is to have Christmas in Europe!! And Paris doesn't disappoint me! It is particularly gorgeous in Paris! One special Christmasy thing in France is the marche de noel, or the Christmas market. So, here, let the pictures do the talking! :)

Indonesia?
Tonight, when I was on the metro, the metro was so cramped. I was standing in a quite good position where I could get a good hold, so I would not fall down. however, there was a lady with a chinese look that came after me, and couldnt find a good position, she had a bit of difficulty to get something to hold on. So, I offered my place to her, so she could stand more comfortably.
me: allons y.. (kinda means: you can stand here..)
her: oh, merci! (thank you!)
a few seconds later..
her: indonesia?
me: pardon? (pardon me?)
her: indonesia?
me: ah, oui! (ah, yes!) (with a startled face)
when she was gonna get off the metro,
her: terima kasih (with a strange accent)! (with an even more startled face)
haaa... I was so surprised!!!!
first, i give her the credit for getting me right, that im from Indonesia. i dont know how, but people would usually told me that i am chinese, or hawaiian. eventhough i myself am still confused how on the earth would i look like a chinese. LOL
second, i give her the credit for saying 'Indonesia' instead of indonesie, which is the french word of indonesia. people here usually dont even know the word indonesia, and they always go with indonesie.
third, i give her the credit for saying 'terima kasih'. it is just so awesome to find someone like that, especially here in Paris. :)
